Bio
Goalkeeper Michalis Sifakis is likely to be limited to a place on the bench in South Africa, but has the talent to make an impression if called upon, and could well develop into Greece's number one in the future. A graduate of the OFI Crete academy, Sifakis spent eight years at the club before making a dream move to Olympiacos in 2007. A season in the reserves saw the youngster move on again in search of first-team football, which he found at Greek top-flight side Aris. His impressive performances and consistency played a big role in securing the club a fourth place finish in the 2009/2010 season. A squad player for a Greek side who will do well to come close to their 2004 heroics, Sifakis is unlikely to let his compatriots down if needed at any stage during the tournament.
