The 27-year-old two-time Pro Bowler suffered the injury when he made a cut and planted his foot. He had an MRI on Tuesday.
Analysis: Last season, the 5-foot-9, 223-pound Martin was second in the NFL with 1,402 rushing yards on 288 carries. Charles Sims takes over as the lead back in Martin's absence, along with Jacquizz Rodgers. The Bucs had only 85 rushing yards against the Cardinals.
