Nevada pulls away from San Jose State, 62-51

RENO, Nev. (AP) AJ West scored 17 points - 13 of which came from the free throw line - and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Nevada to a 62-51 victory over San Jose State on Saturday, snapping the Wolfpack's three-game losing skid and extending the Spartans' to 18 straight.

It was West's 14th double-double of the season, ranking him second in the Mountain West and 18th in the nation. Tyron Criswell added 15 points and 11 boards for Nevada (9-19, 5-11 Mountain West), which shot only 33.3 percent from the field but hit 34 of 47 at the free throw line.

Nevada led by just two, 50-48, with five minutes left, but ended the game on a 12-3 run, highlighted by six straight West free throws and a D.J. Fenner jam.
